DENVER (AP) - Investigators say a man acknowledged his role in a robbery and fatal shooting at a west Denver light rail station and said the gunman shot him after the crime, telling him “You saw too much.”

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/305R8m ) 19-year-old Ever Valles is being held for investigation of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. According to his arrest affidavit, he said he and another 19-year-old man robbed 32-year-old Tim Cruz early Tuesday morning.

Valles said his accomplice, who is still on the run, shot him in the left hip and left buttock after killing Cruz.



Valles is being held at the downtown Denver jail. Booking documents do not indicate if he has hired an attorney.
