BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Authorities say a man was struck twice by a commercial truck during a road rage incident in Billings that ended when the victim’s passenger held the cargo truck driver at gunpoint until police arrived.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2kpX1SU ) the injured man, identified an 18-year-old from Billings, was hospitalized with minor injuries and released.

Police say the incident started Tuesday when a pickup truck cut off a cargo truck driven by a 28-year-old Billings man. Sgt. Shane Winden says the commercial driver then chased the pickup until the pickup’s driver and a passenger got out of the vehicle.



Police say the cargo truck then struck the man twice with his vehicle.

The passenger held the commercial driver at gunpoint until officers arrived.

The cargo truck driver was taken into custody.
