DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Officials in Durham say two motorcycle officers and a sheriff’s deputy were hurt in a crash in the northern part of the Durham County.

Spokeswoman Cammie Michael says Tuesday’s accident occurred shortly after 3 p. m. A subsequent statement said the motorcycle officers sustained injuries that didn’t appear to be life-threatening. The deputy’s condition wasn’t known.

WTVD-TV in Durham reports (https://abc11.tv/2lhPozM) the sheriff’s office said the three officers participated in a funeral escort shortly before the accident. According to the sheriff’s office, the officers went to practice formations after providing the funeral escort.



The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
