SEAFORD, Del. (AP) - Officials say a woman suffered minor injuries when a fire broke out in her home in Seaford.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said in a news release that the fire was reported early Monday. Officials say the woman and her two small children escaped the blaze.

It took firefighters from several departments some 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

The fire marshal’s office says the fire was caused by a malfunction in a wood stove.

Damage is estimated at $250,000.
