WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Police in Wilmington say one man has died and another was hurt in a weekend shooting.

Police spokesman Cathryn Lindsay told local media outlets that officers were called to a shooting around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

They found two people who had been hurt. Both victims were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where 28-year-old Montreal Holmes of Wilmington died.



Lindsay said a 34-year-old man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

No arrests have been reported.
