FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a driver trying to pass a turning vehicle was killed when he crashed into a pickup truck.
Franklin Township police say 28-year-old Joshua Austin, of Williamstown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver, 35-year-old Jeffrey Bordley of Vineland, and two children in his vehicle were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
Investigators say Austin was driving westbound around noon Saturday when he moved into an eastbound lane to get around a car that had stopped to make a left turn. But his car then hit the eastbound pickup truck.
Bordley remained hospitalized Sunday in critical condition, while the two injured children were in stable condition.
The cause of the crash in the Gloucester County community remains under investigation.
