SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Two people died early Sunday when a speeding truck drove through a stop sign in Spark and collided with a small car.

The Sparks Police Department says the collision was believed to have been alcohol-related.

Authorities say 22-year-old Jesus Rojo-Perez drove his speeding truck through a stop sign and crashed into a small car driven by a 28-year-old, who died at the scene.

An 18-year-old man who was a passenger in Rojo-Perez’s truck also died from his injuries.

Rojo-Perez suffered minor injuries in the wreck.

Officers believe Rojo-Perez was impaired by alcohol at the time of the collision.
