RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The N.C. Museum of History is opening a lobby exhibit about the 100th anniversary of Jugtown Pottery with a reception that includes the Owens’ family.

The reception for the exhibit titled “Collecting Carolina: 100 Years of Jugtown” will be held Friday evening at the museum in downtown Raleigh.

The event features a 15-minute documentary film and a panel discussion with the Owens’ family, including Jugtown Pottery owner Vernon Owens, and his wife, Pam, a potter. Also participating are Travis, Bayle and Bobby Owens.



Terry Zug, author of the book “Turners and Burners: Folk Potters of NC,” will moderate the discussion.
