Casey Affleck proud he and his brother Ben have both won Oscars

Best actor winner Casey Affleck was proud of his best actor win Sunday evening, saying he was thrilled that both he and his brother have won Oscars.

“I love Ben because he has been through a lot in this business,” he said of brother Ben Affleck, who shared a best original screenplay Oscar with Matt Damon for “Good Will Hunting” two decades ago. “I have learned a lot from him.”

The Afflecks and Mr. Damon all hail from Boston, where “Manchester by the Sea,” the film Casey Affleck won his Oscar for, was filmed.

“I know Boston really well, so it’s a thrill to go back and film there,” he said when asked by The Washington Times.
