SPARSK, Nev. (AP) - The Sparks Police Department says a man was seriously injured after being struck by a car.

Police say they were called out on Saturday evening and found a man who had head, neck and upper extremities injuries. The man, who has not been identified, was sent to a hospital and is in stable condition.

The driver remained on scene and an investigation found alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

Sparks police are still looking for witnesses to the incident.
