AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine’s annual fox hunt is ending for the season.
The fox hunt is among a slew of Maine winter hunting seasons, and it does not include a bag or a possession limit. The season began on Oct. 16 and ends on Tuesday.
Foxes are among several predator species that are the subject of hunting seasons in Maine. There is also an active season for coyotes. The season for bobcats ended earlier in February.
Tuesday is also the final day of the year for hunting gray squirrels via falconry and hunting snowshoe hare on Vinalhaven Island.
