DOVER, Del. (AP) - A New Castle man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison on weapons charges.
WDEL-FM reports (https://bit.ly/2lHqfNQ ) that Ronald Jackson was sentenced Friday for threatening to kill a man, then firing a shot toward him in February of 2016. Authorities say Jackson also fought with police as they tried to take him into custody then tried to flee the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Jackson was sentenced as a habitual offender, and was sentenced on aggravated menacing, possession of a firearm, reckless endangering and resisting arrest, among other charges. Jackson must serve 33 years in prison before he is eligible for release.
