PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A Philadelphia man has been hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Police say the 43-year-old was walking home from a store when he was struck around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials say the driver who struck the man did not stop.
Police say the victim was thrown 50 feet.
The man was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital with head trauma and two broken legs.
Police are searching for a silver 4-door sedan with damage to the windshield and sunroof.
