LEACH, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of a Leach fire truck was killed when the tanker truck overturned in northeastern Oklahoma while responding to a fire.
The OHP says 68-year-old Michael Dale Russell of Rose died in the crash about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
An OHP report says Russell was southbound on a Delaware County road near Leach when the truck went off the roadway, overcorrected and rolled. The report says Russell was thrown from the truck, then pinned beneath it.
The report says the road was dry, but the weather was foggy at the time of the crash.
