GEORGIA, Vt. (AP) - Police have charged the driver in a fatal crash in Vermont last summer.
Police say 28-year-old Justin Hemond, of Georgia, is facing charges of driving under the influence with death resulting and grossly negligent operation with death resulting in the crash that killed 32-year-old Leonard Delage, of Milton, Vermont.
The car was traveling on Route 7 on the night of July 5 in Georgia when it went off the road, struck a culvert and rolled multiple times.
Delage was ejected from the car and died.
Hemond also was ejected from the vehicle and was hospitalized in critical condition.
It was not immediately known if Hemond is being represented by a lawyer.
