MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 7-year-old girl participating in an archery event at a Mesa park was injured when she accidentally fell on the back end of an arrow.
The accident at Usery Mountain Park occurred Sunday afternoon as the girl moved from one target to another at the archery range.
The arrowed caused a half-inch wound to her neck.
She was brought to a hospital for treatment for the injury, which wasn’t life-threatening.
