Newark shooting leaves victim in ‘critical’ condition

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A person is in critical condition following a shooting in Newark.

Authorities say the shooting took place near the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and Mt. Prospect Street just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim is described as a male, but officials have not released his name.
