PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say they’ve taken a public school food service employee into custody while they investigate whether he sold marijuana to students.

Lt. John Stanford tells WTXF-TV (https://bit.ly/2ktHyCa ) that the ongoing investigation led to Wednesday’s arrest of the worker, who was not immediately identified or charged by police.

The man works at George Washington High School but was arrested elsewhere.

School district officials say they’re cooperating with the investigation. The worker has been removed from the school and could be fired if he’s criminally charged.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of the worker meeting with students in the school and going in and out of a student restroom.
