ANALYSIS/OPINION:
The Cat is back!
Baltimore-based Fractal Cat, a psychedelic pop/funk/rock combo, will play the opening night of the District’s Intersections Festival Friday at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
The band of merry musicians, whose latest disc “The Tower” presents some positively funky grooves, has been making a joyful noise around the DMV for some time, and their melding of Pink Floyd and latter-day Beatles, while great to hear at home, are much better experienced live.
Fractal Cat will perform “The Tower” in its entirety Friday, followed by a Q&A with audience members seeking a peek behind the creative curtain.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at AtlasArts.org.
