NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City are investigating a car accident that has left two people dead.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/2kwrws8 ) that two men in a sedan were traveling north on the Bronx River Parkway around 12:15 a.m. on Friday when their car drifted off of the road. Investigators say the car jumped a guard rail and then hit a tree on the right side of the parkway.

Police say emergency responders couldn’t save the men after removing them from the wrecked car. Officials say both victims died at the scene of the crash.



Police haven’t identified the two men. The investigation is continuing.
