JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to terrorizing in a long standoff with police in Jamestown has been sentenced to jail time.
Southeast District Judge Jay Schmitz has sentenced 33-year-old Troy Allen Elhard to 51 days in jail, two years of probation and has ordered him to pay a $960 fine.
KQDJ (https://bit.ly/2kueHOX ) reports Elhard engaged in a 7-hour standoff with police officers who responded to a domestic violence call in December 2016. Elhard threatened officers and refused to cooperate. He was arrested after officers fired tear gas into the mobile home.
Elhard has also been ordered to have a psychiatric evaluation within 90 days and complete recommended treatment.
