Driver crashes into Cherokee County school

CANTON, Ga. (AP) - A car has crashed into a Cherokee County school, but no one in the school was hurt.

Authorities tell WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2kOwblg ) that no students or school faculty were injured at the Ace Academy, a middle and high school located on Knox Bridge Highway in Canton.

Authorities say a driver suffered a medical emergency while arriving at the school to pick up a student. The vehicle crashed into the exterior wall of the school, which caused damage to the cafeteria. The cafeteria was empty at the time of the accident.

The driver’s condition was not immediately available.
