PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - The back of a building collapsed in downtown Stanfield, Oregon, closing a restaurant and displacing tenants in four upstairs apartments.

The East Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/PllJc6 ) no one was injured.

Stanfield City Manager Blair Larsen says investigators suspect that melting ice and snow leaked into the structure, weakening the beams.

A dangerous building ordinance has been placed on the structure, barring entry. In order to have the ban lifted, the building must be repaired and pass a safety inspection.

The unusually snowy winter has caused roof collapses across the state, particularly in eastern and central Oregon.
