OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) - San Diego County authorities say a man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Oceanside.
A Sheriff’s Department statement says the train engineer saw the man lying on the tracks shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday and began emergency braking but struck the person.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene near Cassidy Street and Broadway.
