LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles authorities say a man has been fatally struck by an Amtrak train in North Hollywood.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott says the victim was hit shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Sherman Way.

Nobody on the train was hurt.

Tracks between the Burbank-Bob Hope Airport Station and the Van Nuys Station are closed as officials investigate.

Metrolink, which shares the tracks, says riders should expect delays.
