PHOENIX (AP) - Grand Canyon University says it’s nearing completion of a development project that it says will help revitalize the surrounding west Phoenix neighborhood, including parts formerly known for crime and seedy activities.
A 325,000-square-foot project includes a four-story office complex, a restaurant, a renovated hotel and a new “innovation center,” additions that the private university says will help return the area “to its middle-class roots.”
The project is located on the northeast corner of North 27th Avenue and West Camelback Road.
