SKIATOOK, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say two Skiatook firefighters were injured while battling a blaze at a police officer’s home.
Skiatook Police Chief Pat Dean says the firefighters’ injuries are not life-threatening. Dean tells the Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/2lLzlKS ) that the crews were battling the blaze early Tuesday when bricks from a garage wall fell on top of them.
The two firefighters were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Dean says the fire occurred at the home of a Skiatook police officer. He says a new police sports utility vehicle was burned, along with other property belonging to the officer in the garage.
The cause of the blaze has not been released.
