PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Firefighters are investigating a blaze that left a 65-year-old Philadelphia woman dead.

Officials say the fire started around 4:30 p.m. on Monday. A couple and their son were able to escape the burning two-story rowhome.

However, a bedridden woman died in the fire. Officials identified the woman as Marisol Cruz. Cruz lived in the home with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson.



Investigators say the fire started on the second floor. Fire officials are currently investigating the cause of the fatal blaze.
