NEW YORK (AP) - A construction worker has died after he became pinned between a forklift and another vehicle in Queens.

The accident happened at 12:35 p.m. Saturday in Long Island City.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/2lwEzK5 ) that the worker was driving a forklift when he put it in neutral and stepped out.



Police say the forklift rolled forward and pinned the victim against a van.

The worker was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He was identified as 28-year-old Rakesh Ram, of Brooklyn.
