Armato was first named superintendent in June 2015.
The system, in a news release, said the parish has continued to gain notice “as a highly progressive, successful school system that is currently ranked 17th among Louisiana’s school district as recognized by school accountability formulas.”
In the most recent performance scores, St. Mary Parish had a 99.2, making it the highest-rated “B’’ district in the state.
Armato says he’s confident that the instructional and financial provisions in place will continue to allow the parish to rise and remain a top educational system in the state.
