CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati public schools will add mobile aquarium visits to their classes as part of a new project.

The Newport Aquarium announced it will visit selected classes in the Cincinnati Public School District with mobile aquariums three times a year over the next three years. The science initiative, called the Living Curriculum, is sponsored by the Welfare of Aquatic Animals through Advocacy, Volunteerism and Education Foundation.

WCPO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2kmEJCw ) that WAVE received a $200,000 grant from the Louis and Louise Nippert Charitable Foundation to fund the educational effort.



Newport Aquarium Executive Director Eric Rose says the goal is to help enrich science education in Cincinnati public schools.
