WALLINGFORD, Pa. (AP) - An elementary school principal in Delaware County has stepped down following what the superintendent called “inappropriate action.”

In a letter to parents on Tuesday, the superintendent said Wallington Elementary School Principal Joshua Peterkin’s action “in no way endangered or involved children. The superintendent did not elaborate.

Superintendent Lisa Palmer says the district respects the privacy of personnel while “upholding high standards for employee behavior.”
