WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Police in Delaware’s largest city say a man checking a noise outside his home was fatally shot through a door.
Wilmington police said in a news release that officers responded to a report of shots fired early Tuesday. Investigators say a man was checking on a noise at the rear of his home.
Police say as the man approached the back door, gunfire erupted and the man was shot in his torso.
Responding officers found the man unconscious in his home. Paramedics pronounced him dead.
