SEATTLE (AP) - Police have arrested a 25-year-old man who allegedly broke into rooms in a Seattle hotel, attacked a security guard and walked away paintings.

Seattle Police say officers were called to a hotel in the International District around 4 a.m. Tuesday after someone reported that a man was ransacking hotel rooms.

Police say officers arrived to see the man casually walking out the hotel front door carrying two paintings.

Police say officers quickly took him into custody.

Police say when officers spoke to the hotel security guard, he showed signs that he may have been assaulted by the suspect and suffered a head injury. He was taken to a hospital.

Police say officers recovered hotel room keys from the suspect’s backpack and booked him into King County Jail for burglary.
