CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A man has died in a shooting in North Carolina’s largest city over the weekend.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokeswoman Cindy Wallace said in a news release that officers were called to shooting around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Wallace said officers found 23-year-old Kenneth Bernard Edwards dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made. Investigators were trying to determine whether Edwards knew the person who shot him.

It’s Charlotte’s 81st homicide this year.
