TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A landfill fire on Tucson’s outskirts is sending smoke over the southern Arizona city and authorities say it may continue burnings several days.

The Tucson Fire Department says no structures are threatened and there has been no injury from the fire that started early Sunday morning at a landfill on the city’s southeast site.

Firefighters are using a water cannon to fight the fire.

Residents in the area are being advised to stay indoors because of the heavy smoke.

The site is near South Houghton and East Drexel roads.
