MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - The federal government has given its highest rating to three New Hampshire hospitals in its latest quality scores.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rates hospitals on more than 50 measures covering patient experience, timely delivery of care, readmissions and death rates from certain conditions. The most recent ratings give five stars to three of New Hampshire’s 26 acute care hospitals: Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester and Saint Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
Nationally, fewer than 10 percent of hospitals got five stars.
