TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police say one of the drivers involved in a multiple-vehicle crash in Tucson has died.

They say 59-year-old Edward Robert Lopez died from his injuries Saturday.

Lopez had been taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries in Friday’s crash in which at least nine vehicles were damaged, including four parked cars.

Police say speed was an obvious factor in the collision, but there were no signs of impairment.

They still are trying to determine if Lopez had a medical emergency at the time of the incident.
