State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said Thursday that she appreciated journalists’ “dedication to the facts,” a sentiment President Trump has not expressed.
“I am truly honored to be working with you each and every day. Your professionalism, your dedication to the facts is really something that has been so impressive, and I just wanted to thank you all for the job that you do,” Ms. Nauert said at her briefing.
Mr. Trump has repeatedly accused the media of “fake news” and being unfair to the administration.
