SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California’s unemployment rate fell to a record low of 4.6 percent in November.

The state Employment Development Department said Friday it’s the lowest number in data dating back to the beginning of 1976.

The rate was 4.9 percent in October and 5.3 percent in November 2016.



The U.S. unemployment rate last month was unchanged at 4.1 percent.
