Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attempted to try out her comedic chops this week during a “Song for Women 2017” on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”
Comedy Central fused humor and music with social commentary on Tuesday as a way to honor women, although his crew turned to Mrs. Clinton to “take us home.”
President Trump’s 2016 election rival pantomimed herself inside a music studio hitting high notes in support of lyrics like, “Keeping it feminine, this mess we’ve been in. Our lady d—s are swinging, sick of all this winning.”
“If there’s one group of people who have defined this year, it’s been women,” Mr. Noah said before the musical number played for his audience. “So we asked Desi Lydic and Dulcé Sloan for their thoughts and they gave us a whole song.”
Some of the issues covered in the song include:
- The fall of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein over the industry’s sexual misconduct scandals.
- Saudi Arabia allowing women to drive cars.
- The success of the “Wonder Woman” movie.
- The Women’s March in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Noah’s upload racked up over 2.6 million views in less than 24 hours.
