News outlets report that Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler said in a release that Charles Daniels was pulled from the fire in Conway on Sunday and transported to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, where he died.

A Horry County police report says fire officials asked police to investigate the “suspicious fire.”
