LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police in New Hampshire say a man collecting money for the Salvation Army has been accused of pocketing some of the cash.
Police in Laconia said another man working in an office near the collection site videotaped him taking a $5 bill from the slot at the top of the collection bucket, putting it in his jacket pocket, then zipping up the pocket.
Police said the donations collector was arrested on Monday and released on personal recognizance bail to appear in court on Jan. 25.
His name hasn’t been released.
