TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tucson have identified the victim of a homicide on the city’s south side.

They say 42-year-old Tereso Hernandez-Reyes was fatally shot early Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting just before 3 a.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, police located a man on the ground with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.

Hernandez-Reyes was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

Police say Hernandez-Reyes left a nightclub in downtown Tucson with some acquaintances.

The group pulled into a mobile home park and at least two other vehicles followed them into the lot.

Police say a suspect approached the vehicle occupied by Hernandez-Reyes and opened fire.
