VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A Virginia man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for a fatal crash involving two drunken drivers.

Twenty-nine-year-old Christopher Hudson Kita of Chesapeake was sentenced Monday after pleading no contest to DUI involuntary manslaughter and guilty to driving under the influence for the March crash that killed 22-year-old Teja Freeman of Norfolk.

Freeman, whose car was stopped in the left lane of Interstate 264 with one blinker one, was struck from behind. At the time, Kita was out on bond on a previous DUI charge.

Authorities say Kita’s blood alcohol content tested at 0.14 percent , nearly twice the legal limit for driving, after the crash.

Officials say Freeman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had aneven higher blood alcohol content, 0.19 percent.
