GREEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - State police have identified the pilot who was killed when his small plane crashed near a New Jersey airport.

They said Lester Lydzinski, of Clifton, was killed in the crash around 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Green Township.

The pilot was alone in the aircraft when the crash occurred near Airport Road, which is not far from Trinca Airport.



The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
