SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (AP) - State police say a driver has been killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 in Springfield, Vermont.

They say the car driven by 26-year-old Jeremy Johnston, of Randolph, went off the road and struck a tree on Sunday night. The vehicle then rolled several times and Johnston was ejected. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

Johnston was pronounced dead at a hospital. No one else was inside the car.

Authorities say speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
