JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Longtime former Jonesboro Mayor Hubert Brodell has died at age 88.

Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro says Brodell died Monday at a hospice house of natural causes.

Brodell served as mayor of the northeast Arkansas city from 1986 until 2004 after a lengthy career in the insurance industry.



Brodell is survived by five sons, a daughter, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro
