CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A convicted felon in North Carolina is facing charges after a search of his home revealed stolen guns.
A statement from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on Thursday said 20-year-old Curtis Mayfield Robinson is facing five counts of possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is in the county jail, and it’s not known if he has an attorney.
The statement said local police joined probation officers on Wednesday in a visit to Robinson’s home, where they found ammunition and several guns. A further search turned up four more guns.
Police said that of the six guns found, one gun was stolen from a car, three more were stolen during a residential break-in and another was stolen from a gun shop in Gastonia.
