NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City have arrested a woman in connection with a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 62-year-old woman last month.

Police announced they arrested a 22-year-old Staten Island woman Wednesday. The woman has been charged with multiple offenses including leaving the scene of an accident and failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Police say the 62-year-old victim was seriously injured when she was struck and dragged by a car July 14 in Staten Island. Investigators say surveillance video shows the driver never stopped.

The victim was treated at Staten Island University Hospital.
